First Steps helps prevent childhood malnutrition in North Korea.
Last week another 40 tonnes of soybeans arrived in North Korea and have been distributed to children in Nampo and Hyongjesan. One tonne of soybeans feeds 100 children a daily cup of nutritious soymilk for one year. Currently, one tonne of soybeans, including shipping, has a cost of $850.
